PRAYER
Oh Awesome, Powerful Jesus. We stand amazed at Your glory and overwhelming grace. You shine so bright, we have to glance away. Your holiness and might are beyond measure. Nothing can compare with You. Forgive us for the times when we lessen Your significance in our lives. Restore our trust and remind of that nothing can separate us from You. Amen.
LYRICS
VERSE 1
when You roar the mountains will shake
the nations will tremble and they will awake
when You roar darkness will flee
life is returning, cold hearts will breathe
CHORUS
You can’t be tamed, You’re not safe, You’re dangerous
but You are good, oh, Lion of Judah
You fight for us You have won, victorious
hallelujah, Lion of Judah, Lion of Judah
VERSE 2
when You roar, fear is afraid
shadows will cower, power displayed
when You roar, there will be peace
weapons are laid down, battles will cease
BRIDGE
death cannot hold You, no power controls You
Glorious Jesus, mighty to save
in every moment we stand triumphant
Glorious Jesus , forever You reign
A THOUGHT & SCRIPTURE
“It is about the greatness of God, not the significance of man. God made man small and the universe big to say something about himself.”
— Rev. John Piper
Our God is Big. He’s powerful.
Our God is not trinket you wear around your neck.
Our God is not a statue on a pedestal.
Our God is not a cross hanging at the front of a church.
Our God cannot be defined by soft children’s stories and colorful arks with rainbows on bedroom walls.
Our God is not limited by what we believe He or cannot do.
He is God.
Creator of the world. Everything.
He holds the life of everything in His hands. He holds us. His love.
If a being so powerful can create the world and raise people from the dead, He should be considered dangerous. We don’t enter the courts and throne room of our God flippantly or nonchalantly.
When you pray, do you consider that? You are praying at the feet of the powerful being in the universe?
Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
A lion is fierce and powerful. Judah refers to God’s chosen people of the Old Testament and therefore all of us who believe and trust in Him today.
He is our lion. Last week I talked about how I used Jesus’ name as a weapon to cast out the devil when I was afraid as a kid. This week continues on that same track.
Our God is so powerful that nothing can stand before Him and nothing can prevent His love from being shown and showered upon us.
I love that Jesus asked the little children to come to Him. Let’s not forget the comforting, caring character of our God. The fact is, we don’t have a weak, soft God.
Our God is a roaring lion and is on our side. Call on His powerful name. Any time, any day.

PRAYER
Oh Lion of Judah, I trust you with my whole heart. Protect me and defend me from Satan’s attacks and temptations. Lead me with your powerful hand and lift me out of the snares that so quickly try to drag me down. Thank you for being so mighty to save. You are my God, my king and my defender. I love you. My Lion of Judah! Amen.
