Classroom Quotes From Kids

Kindergartener 1: "Look we're making a pretend fire!" Kindergartener 2: (in a sly voice) "So, how would actually make a real fire?" Me: "We don't make fires at school."

Me: "Well, why don't you just tell you parents about it?" 1st Grader: "I can't. They won't believe me." Me: "Why not?" 1st Grader: "I lie too much." Me: "Well, sounds like you have something to work on..."(there's some honesty!)

In reference to a lyric in a musical at school about Jonah: 1st Grader said, "Why does it say 'there is no God in Nineveh?' Because God was still there!" I replied, "You're right, but God sent Jonah to remind the people who had forgotten." Such loving, faithful honesty. I love my job.

kid on the playground: "Hey Mr.G! He hit my arm and said, 'TAG!' (whimpering...)" Me: ... "Uh, that's what we're playing. Tag." Kid: "Oh." #needmoretag
